CAN THE SYSTEM BE ADAPTED TO ALL BICYCLES ?

95 % of all bicycles can be fitted with the VELTOP, thanks to universal fittings for the handlbar and saddle stem.

Some electric bicycles may need adapting to fix the VELTOP (e.g.
battery may need to be removed before fitting).

Please contact us if you have questions about whether the VELTOP will fit your bike.

WHAT IF THERE IS WIND?

In the case of a headwind, resistance is negligible up to 30km/h (18
mph) (far faster than most urban rides). This is due to the convex shape of the windscreen on the VELTOP.

Sidewinds are not a problem with the side panels are rolled up. If the side panels are rolled down, little effect is felt under normal conditions. Some effect may be felt in strong winds, and we do recommend not to use the VELTOP in very stormy conditions.

HOW ARE YOU PROTECTED FROM THE RAIN?

The VELTOP will keep most of your body perfectly dry, apart from limited exposure of your forearms and legs.
The dryness of your feet will largely depend on the quality of your mudgards.
Users of the VELTOP praise its effectiveness in keeping them dry on wet days!

DO YOU NEED WINDSCREEN WIPERS ?

At normal cycling speeds, raindrops do not hinder visibility. The same principle is applied to mopeds and scooters, who don't have wipers despite travelling much faster than a bike.
Riding a bicycle in the rain is a new sensation and surprisingly comfortable with the VELTOP!

REQUIRED TIME TO ASSEMBLE AND TO DISMANTLE ?

Once the windscreen is fixed on the handlebar the erection of the hood and side protections takes no more than 2 minutes (see video).
Dismantling takes a similar amount of time.

WILL THE VELTOP AFFECT MY BICYCLE'S HANDLING?

The frame of the VELTOP is fully flexible, allowing it to adapt to handlebar movements.

IS THE VELTOP COMPATIBLE WITH CHILD SEATS?

Most types of child seat are compatible with the VELTOP.
In some cases it is possible to fix the plastic part from the seat post towards the back of the rack with an adapter to protect your child as well.
